War is justified when it has a just cause, right intention, legitimate authority, and a chance to success. There must be proportionality, and war should be the last resort. Absence of some of these conditions is what has made the Syrian Crisis to spiral out of control. There was a just cause and right intentions, but all other conditions were vague. The opposition also lacked an exit strategy. Had they considered all the factors and planned effectively, Syria may not have been invaded by foreign terrorists.
