The Importance of Training
Organizations often misjudge the importance of training. Consider the following scenario:
Mary’s company has seen an increase in employees leaving the organization over the past six months. Based on the results from the exit interviews, it is apparent that there is no training for the newly hired customer service personnel. Mary does not see the connection between new hire training and people leaving. How would you explain to Mary why training is important?
